At Move Orthopaedics, excellence in patient care is driven by a commitment to lifelong learning and the open exchange of knowledge. This ethos was recently exemplified when Dr Groenewald completed an immersive educational tour across Europe, facilitated by Advanced Orthopaedics SA and hosted by global implant innovator Medacta.

Dr Groenewald

The experience began in operating theatres in Austria, where Dr Groenewald spent two intensive days observing surgical efficiency, refined technique, and the real-world application of advanced prosthetic systems. Learning alongside international leaders such as Prof Patrick Sadoghi and Dr Jochen Hofstätter provided a rare opportunity to absorb global best practices directly at the point of care.

The journey continued to Switzerland, with a visit to Medacta’s global headquarters. Here, Dr Groenewald and peers gained insight into rigorous production and quality control processes, while engaging in meaningful dialogue with orthopaedic surgeons who actively contribute to the evolution of implant technology.

For Move Orthopaedics, experiences like these are more than professional milestones. They reflect a shared belief that collaboration, continuous education, and exposure to global innovation translate into better decision-making and improved outcomes for patients. By staying closely connected to international leaders and cutting-edge advancements, our surgeons ensure that every treatment plan is informed by the highest standards of modern orthopaedic care.

This ongoing commitment to learning ensures that our patients benefit from world-class techniques, advanced prosthetic solutions, and a surgical practice that is always moving forward.
